Our longings are intertwined with the deep desire to meet with the Beloved… that inner Beloved which resides within us all.
Our inner Shakti, the Feminine Force which is the ever churning creative desire…
Our inner Shiva, the Masculine Force which is still, unmoving, and at peace…
Both long to meet the other. In this world we have forgotten the Eternal Dance — that though the two manifest in different forms and ways, they are never truly separate or far away from one another.
When projected outwards into maya, our longing lingers with another, a place, a thing, or a moment.
When reignited within ourselves as the Eternal Dance, the mist of the maya world will part, and your Beloved will find its way to you.
And you too, will recognize the glorious face of your truly Beloved.

Remind us of the Dance. Remind us to be fearless as You have been.
Teach us the yoga of Your secret fire that warmed the icy rivers and melted the ancient snow of desire…
The Yoga of Longing is the Eternal Dance brought inward. I surrender my being to You, Mother Prakriti.
